New special education director hired in Newburyport

Bradley Brooks will become the new full-time special education director of the Newburyport Public Schools this summer.

Such positions often call for the need of business card printing services.

Brooks was previously the director of student services at the North Middlesex Regional School District. He has been involved in special education for 29 years, and has over 10 years’ experience at Chelmsford Public Schools as a special education director.

Sean Gallagher, superintendent of the Newburyport Public Schools, said that Brooks’ approachability and style of leadership were extremely attractive to the school district. Gallagher added that he seems to want to get involved in the community, and will be an asset for the district.

Brooks plans to bring stability to the district and expressed his excitement about being part of the community of Newburyport. Gallagher said Brooks is a hands-on leader and enjoys working with parents, staff, and students and creating working partnerships. Gallagher added that Brooks has been in each of his previous positions for many years, and is looking for a new challenge in Newburyport.

Brooks will begin his position on Monday, July 1. He will be replacing Deborah O’Connor, the former special education director, who has been in the job on an interim basis since Wesley Pierce left at the end of the last school year.
