Local brewery expands reach in New England

The Newburyport Brewing Company recently announced that it will be investing in the Isle Brewers Guild (IBG) located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

IBG has a facility that is 130,000 square feet in size and has state-of-the-art packaging lines, office space, a tasting room, space for classrooms and indoor and outdoor event space. When it opens later this year, it will have an initial capacity of 60,000 barrels and then be able to grow to 150,000 barrels in upcoming years.

Chris Webb, cofounder of Newburyport Brewing, said that the company has not been able to keep up with the demand for craft beers since it first opened the brewery in Newburyport. The partnership with IBG will enable it to meet growing demands in the local area and expand the availability of its year-round and seasonal offerings.

In addition, the company signed an agreement with C&C Distributors in West Greenwich, Rhode Island, which will begin to distribute several of its crafts beers in Rhode Island this month. Vice president of sales at C&C Distributors, Bob Zanella, stated that the addition of Newburyport Brewing strengthens the company’s portfolio of premier craft beer offerings.

Newburyport Brewing might benefit from the assistance of a local printing company to inform the Rhode Island community of the upcoming availability of its craft beers in the state and the several first tap celebrations it is holding this month.
