Head of senior activities selected in Newburyport

Sara Landry has been appointed by Mayor Sean Reardon of Newburyport to replace the retired director of the Council on Aging (COA), Paula Burke.

Such new positions often call for the need of business card printing services.

Reardon expressed her thrill in welcoming Landry to the Newburyport Council on Aging as she is confident that her experience and skills will make her an ideal person for this position. Reardon added that Landry has spent her career meeting the needs of seniors in all the communities she has served. Reardon said that it is obvious she is passionate about her work and the town is looking forward to her bringing that passion to Newburyport.

Landry has been the executive director of senior and adult programs at the Hobbs Community Center in Pelham, New Hampshire since 2011. In this role, she plans and implements programs for seniors, oversees the daily operations of the center, and manages the transportation programs of the town for seniors.

Prior to that she was director of the senior center in Londonderry, New Hampshire for nine years. She played a major role in creating and opening the first senior center for the town and managed all budgeting, fundraising, and programming for the senior affairs department of the town.

Landry is expected to begin her position on Monday November 6, pending confirmation by the City Council.
