Mark Perry, an equine dentist, cared for the horses at Windrush Farm and elsewhere in New England. Kathy Blanton rode at the farm for many years and was an early beneficiary of therapeutic riding undergoing emotional and physical growth. CEO of Windrush Farm, Janet Nittmana, said that the two understand there is a special connection between people and horses. She added that these scholarships will enable an individual to heave the joyful experience of horseback riding, which can increase their self-esteem, well-bring, and confidence.
The session for the spring begins Monday, March 1 and ends Monday, June 14. The deadline for applications for the scholarship are due Friday, January 15.
