Chocolate tour to come to Newburyport

The 20th annual Chocolate Tour will be coming to Newburyport next month.

This is a walking tour that will enable attendees to explore over 30 stores and sample a variety of chocolates at each one. There will be a basket raffle at the starting point.

There are 400 tickets available for this event, with the price of each ticket $20 prior to the event and $25 on the day of the event. All of the proceeds will benefit eight groups in the community, among which are New England Equine Rescue Center, The Guinea Pig Sanctuary of Salisbury, Community Service of Newburyport, and five local Councils on Aging for their transportation and prescription refills programs.

Such unique events and their efforts to raise funds for local non-profit organizations is often advertised throughout a community with poster printing.

Tickets are on sale at the Brass Lyon in Market Square, The Candy Man on Pleasant Street, and Affamata (at The Tannery Marketplace), as well as online.

Sponsorship opportunities are available in amounts ranging from $75 to $550 and above. Also, the event is looking for volunteers to lend their enthusiasm and time to make this a memorable experience for all.

The tour will take place from noon to 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 7. The tour will start is 26 Pleasant Street in Newburyport.
