Chef-prepared dinner to raise funds in Newburyport

The annual Table Chefs’ Dinner will be held by the Rotary Club of Newburyport later this month.

Area chefs will prepare a three-course, tableside meal, with each chef creating a meal that will serve 10 people. Among the participants in the event are Sea Level Oyster Bar, Michael’s Harborside, Avita of Newburyport, and Seaglass Restaurant and Lounge.

There will be raffles for spirits and wines and a silent auction of many valuable items. Proceeds from the event will support college scholarships for seniors at Triton Regional and Newburyport High Schools and help out other nonprofit organizations in the area.

Banner printing companies can be hired to create displays to be posted in such communities so that people learn about these special events and their fundraising efforts.

The price per person for a ticket is $85 and there are many sponsorship levels available ranging from $100 to $1,500. There will also be a cash bar.

Meetings of the Rotary Club of Newburyport are held weekly on Tuesday at 12:15 pm at Michael’s Harborside. There are 1.2 million people around the world who belong to rotary who get together to works towards lasting change in the world.

The dinner will take place in the Grandview Ballroom at the Blue Ocean Event Center in Salisbury beginning at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 30.
