Gaming center in Malden plans expansion
Boda Borg Boston will be adding 4,000 square feet and new Quest spaces to its reality gaming center in Malden. This will increase the capacity of the center by over 30 percent.
Founder of Boda Borg Boston, Chad Ellis, expressed his pleasure in being in Malden. The center has been busy with visits from universities, company outings, and Questers from all around Greater Boston and beyond such that additional space was needed. Over the next year he said that six new Quest encounters will be built to give fans new experiences.
There are currently 19 live-action, immersive Quests, whose themes include answering the riddle of the Sphinx, piracy on the high seas, and a magical potions class. The expansion will add six new Quests with themes ranging from a damaged spaceship or a maze to being in the eye of a hurricane. There will be a variety of physical options from being ADA compliant with no strenuous activity to ninja warrior-type obstacles. Brochure printing can be used to provide more details on such new experiences.
Mayor Gary Christenson expressed his pleasure about Boda Borg Boston finding a home in Malden. The center brings many, many visitors to the downtown area, becoming the centerpiece of the Gaming District designation, and benefiting the other retail establishments and restaurants in the city.
It is expected that the new spaces will open in 2020.
