This January, Pottery Mill, LLC, in Lowell will host the Adult Hand-Building Slab Mugs Workshop for any adults interested in tapping into their creative side at a fun, clay-based workshop.
The Pottery Mill is a community clay studio in the Highlands area that offers classes, studio memberships, private workspaces, youth and adult pottery programs, parties and group events. The studio covers 2,500 square feet and spans seven rooms with 23 pottery wheels, over 200 member shelves, a clay extruder, a slab roller, two electric kilns, and 17 studio made glazes.
The Adult Hand-Building Slab Mugs class will teach attendees how to make a completely customizable clay mug. Participants will be able to carve a design, press Stamps, and add texture to their mug. They will also have the opportunity to glaze their work, having access to many different colors to choose from.
