Lowell to fly high at kite festival

This June, Vibha will hold its 8th Annual Kite Flying Festival to raise money for its children’s education programs and celebrate Father’s Day with family friendly fun in the sky.

Vibha is a nonprofit organization that partners with communities, governments, and grassroots movements to strengthen public education for children and improve learning outcomes. Proceeds raised from the Kite Flying Festival will go towards funding, maintaining, and growing these programs and improve access to quality education for all children.

The festival will be held in the Lowell Heritage State Park, which is both a recreational area and a historical preserve promoting the city’s role in the American Industrial Revolution. At the park, attendees will be able to fly kites that can be reserved in advance or rented during the event. There will also be cultural performances, a DJ spinning tunes, as well as retail vendors selling wares and food vendors offering tasty treats and beverages.

Charity and community festivals are often advertised through the method of flyer printing and distributing, and local Print shops can be helpful to organizers interested in preparing these materials.

The 8th Annual Kite Flying Festival is scheduled to take place on June 21 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. It will be held at Lowell Heritage State Park Esplanade & Sampas Pavilion, located at 160 Pawtucket Boulevard.
