Next month, the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts will host the Discover Girl Scouts: Pets & Pet Inventions event in Lowell.
The Discover Girl Scouts Program holds sample troop meetings for children interested in participating in an activity hosted by the Girl Scouts organization, but not yet ready to commit to joining a troop. The Pets & Pet Inventions meeting will feature topics relating to pets and pet welfare, while also discussing the overall program and benefits of joining.
The September event is designed for families with children in grades K through 5, and the activities featured are adapted from activities relating to the STEM Career Exploration Badge, the Pets Badge, and Business Jumpstart Badge. Participants will learn how to choose the right pet for their household or how to take care of a pet that they already have. Attendees will explore creative pet inventions, create pet toys, and brainstorm ideas on how to make the community more pet friendly.
Organizers of events like this that include information about joining a particular organization may offer Brochures to attendees, and such brochures can easily be printed at local stores offering brochure printing.
The Girl Scout event is scheduled for September 10 from 9:30 am to 10:45 pm. It will take place at Pollard Memorial Library on 401 Merrimack Street, Lowell.
