Next month, the 2024 SheRise Gala will take place in Lowell to provide a thoughtful forum for discussing the challenges women face navigating a nuanced workplace environment.
The organizer of the gala is a nonprofit group called Women Accelerators, a component fund of the Greater Lowell Community Foundation and a group that is passionate about the advancement of women in the workplace. The organization aims to provide a welcoming community and centralized network where professional women can find resources to help advance their careers.
The SheRise Gala theme this year will be “Navigating the Tightrope in the Workplace”, which will revolve around a thought-provoking presentation by renowned speaker Kim Meninger. The discussion will delve into the double bind that professional women often find themselves in at work, which is that being likable may cause others to perceive them as less competent, while being strong and capable may make them less likable. The gala will also include a buffet dinner and drinks, silent auction, and networking opportunities.
Professional galas offering attendees opportunities for networking with their peers may encourage attendees to refresh their Business Cards by visiting local businesses that specialize in business card printing.
The SheRise Gala is scheduled for March 21 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. It will be held at Jade Lowell, which is located at 165 Thorndike Street. Tickets are priced at $50.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
