Next month, The Thrive Communities of Massachusetts will hold its end-of-year Thrivesgiving event to highlight the organization's success, honor the contributions of supporters, and raise money for the cause.
The Thrive Communities of Massachusetts is a community-based organization that works to empower communities to welcome and help their neighbors who are transitioning from incarceration. Volunteers, partners, and a board of directors collaborate to organize and support grassroot efforts to revolutionize the role community members play in the lives of these incarcerated individuals.
The Thrivesgiving event will feature appetizers provided by CTI Youth Build, an organization that provides educational and employment-related training for local youth. The event will also have enlightening storytelling, an awards ceremony for contributors, and fundraising activities. Organizers are hoping to raise up to $100,000 by the end of 2022 to cover the short-term gap between the organization outgrowing its traditional grassroots seed funding to transitioning to state and federal funding.
Fundraising events can be advertised through Flyers, which can be distributed in locations such as libraries, schools, and community centers, provided permission is given. These flyers can easily be printed using local flyer printing services.
The Thrivesgiving event is scheduled for Thursday, December 8, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. It will take place at UTEC on 35 Warren Street in Lowell. General admission is $75, while a table sponsor ticket is $500.
