The Museum of Printing recently announced that it will be moving from its location in North Andover to Haverhill, with a planned opening of early summer in 2016.
The new facility better meets the mission of the museum to educate, preserve, and exhibit materials and equipment related to graphics arts. It will be so close to Andover that people from that community will want to check out its new location, no doubt including those who work for graphic design and Print companies in the area.
The new facility will also be on one floor, so as to make it fully accessible to those who have difficulty with stairs and elevators, and will be able to host more educational events.
According to Frank Romano, President of the Museum, the new location will have two world class printing and graphic arts libraries, and more spaces that will be dedicated to events, exhibits, and workshops. Exhibits will be of a more interactive nature and there will be stores for letterpress and related equipment.
One of the libraries will be for general reference of typographic Books, type specimen Books, and specialty publications. The other one will be dedicated to researchers and scholars and will offer access to move than 500,000 Books, many of which will be rare, and extensive graphic arts memorabilia.Get a Free Quote for Books Get a Free Quote for Print
