Andover to host concert of Jewish music
Temple Emanuel of Andover will be hosting a special concert later this month.
Double Chai, a duo of Ian Simpson and Jeremy Sipe, his musical partner, will be performing an evening of spirited and uplifting Jewish music along with an array of tasty desserts. Double Chai has played across the country and brings songs of joy to all its audiences. Ian Simpson is the sone of Rachel Reef-Simpson, the cantor of the congregation.
Ian Simpson has travelled across the country over the past 10 years and has been bringing his distinct sound to many communities. He sings and plays the guitar and is at Wilshire Boulevard Temple as the song leader in residence and directs the music programs at Gindling Hilltop Camp and Camp Hess Kramer. He moved to Los Angeles in 2021 after being the song leader in Dallas at Temple Emanu-El.
Sipe is a classically trained pianist and plays multiple instruments. He is currently studying at the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music of Hebrew Union College and serves as a cantorial intern at Central Synagogue.
Such unique and special performances can be promoted throughout a community with poster printing.
The concert will be from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. at Temple Emanuel of Andover on Haggerts Pond Road in Andover on Saturday November 23. There is no cost for members of the congregation and $18 for guests.
