The new 150-acre campus will be adjacent to Interstate 64 and the Gene Snyder and will consist of a full-service, pediatric hospital for children facing complex medical situations as well as expanded specialty services and research facilities. The aim of the new facility will be to provide care that many local youngsters presently have to leave the state to receive.
Governor Andy Beshear, who was on hand for the announcement of the planned for Norton Children’s facility relayed the following in a new release:
"And we are going to build one of, if not the, largest pediatric health campuses in the country, creating 1,000 jobs for this hospital. That makes this the largest jobs announcement in Kentucky this year."
Even nonprofit organizations have need of promotional printed materials including Stationery printers.
The new campus, which is not designed to replace the current downtown Louisville children’s hospital, is to be developed in phases with the first phase containing the new full-service pediatric hospital. Following the initial phases will be the expansion of clinic space for specialists in pediatrics, behavioral and mental health care and research facilities.
Norton Children’s will be seeking community input with listening sessions taking place across the Bluegrass State and southern Indiana throughout the next year. The first of these sessions will take place in Louisville in July.
