Governor Andy Beshear recently announced that House Foods America Corp. will be building a 350,000-square-foot, $143.3m plant in the southwest of the city. The company, which will be bringing 109 full-time positions to the city, also has facilities in New Jersey and California.
Employee handbooks are among the many items that Print shops are asked to supply a newly set up processing plant.
In the release, Beshear said:
“I’m proud to welcome House Foods to Kentucky. This company truly has its eye on the future, producing healthy food products and creating a significant number of high-paying jobs in the process."
According to the Governor, Louisville will be a great fit for House Foods as it continues to expand its U.S. market share.
According to Beshear’s office, the new facility feeds into the governor’s agri-tech initiative, the goal of which is to marry Kentucky’s agricultural roots with the state’s advanced-manufacturing sector. The Governor’s release also stated that Kentucky’s food and beverage sector diversity is among its greatest strengths. Among the jobs the plant will need to fill are administrative and logistics positions, engineers, production workers ,and machine operators.
The tofu produced by the Louisville facility will utilize non-genetically modified soybeans grown in the U.S.
Plant construction is anticipated to start in 2022 and finish up by 2025.
