Overland Park planning fun filled fundraising day
Halloween is a time for spooky fun, and a fundraising run and walk is set to hit the road in Overland Park in the seasonal spirit.
The Monster Dash 5K run will see kids and adults alike don a costume and run in support of Newhouse, which provides support and service to those fleeing domestic violence. The participants will be grouped according to age, and the registration fees are non-refundable.
Registrants for the activity will be able to check in at the registration kiosk, and after this, the kids event will begin. This will be followed by a costume contest and 5 monster dash, and at the finish line there will be free photos taken. Food and drinks will be on offer, and an aid station will be set up on the course for anyone who needs some assistance.
The organizers of the activity noted that medals featuring an specially prepared graphic design will be presented to the finishers, and T-shirts and other gear will be on offer as well. These sorts of promotional products may be prepared by a professional print company
