Overland Park arboretum plans annual plant sale
Overland Park gardeners will soon have a secret weapon when it comes to creating beautiful flower beds, and while they shop, they will be supporting a local arboretum.
The Spring Plant Sale at Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens will connect shoppers with a wide variety of plants, including both common and hard to find cultivars. Both ornamental and edible options will be on offer, and there will be plenty of choice for anyone who wants to create a pollinator-friendly planting.
At least 200 varieties will be for sale, and they will all have a local provenance. There will be experts on hand to answer questions and offer advice, and to thank Arboretum members, they will have a social exclusive shopping day ahead of the crowd. This will give them a chance to purchase rare cultivars before they are all snapped up.
A pop-up market may attract considerable attention from the general public. Signage, price lists, printed reusable shopping totes, seed packets, and many other items can be prepared for an activity by a printing services company.
