Fundraiser offers plenty of fun
The Abdallah Shriners Rodeo and Demolition Derby is taking place in the Overland Park area next month for three days. It is a fundraiser for the Abdallah Shriners.
The event will consist of two days of rodeo performances and one evening of demolition derby fun.
The rodeo is produced by the Six Crowns Rodeo Company. It is set to offer many of the traditional rodeo skill tests such as bull riding, barrel racing and steer wrestling. As opposed to some rodeos, this one is more family-oriented with performances that will appeal to the young as well as the old. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children between the ages of 6 and 12 and $50 for a family of two adults and two children.
The demolition derby is a presentation of the Championship Demolition Derby Association. Tickets are $15 for everyone aged 6 and over; younger children will be admitted free of charge.
For both events, tickets for military, police, fire and emergency response personnel are free.
Souvenirs and food concessions will be available for all three days.
Many people love rodeo and stationery printers in the Overland Park area often provide the necessary advertising materials like flyers to attract those people.
The rodeo and demolition derby will be held at Leavenworth County Fairgrounds from September 26 to 28. For more information, contact Nichole Nace at 913-362-5300.
