Anime convention returns to Overland Park
The Naka-Kon Anime Convention is taking place in Overland Park over three days next month.
The convention is a celebration of all things anime. There will be guest appearances by voice actors, musicians, artists, and designers. In addition, some of the top cosplayers will be on hand to share their secrets.
There will be many discussion panels on topics such as the language and food of Japan. There will also be sake tastings, karaoke, musical performances, and anime screenings.
The main social event to be held over the three days will be the Charity Ball. The theme will be Hanabi. It will feature the Waltz to the Moon dance competition, photo sessions, dance performances and a rose exchange. Every person will receive a dance card. This is a formal ball and there are specific dress requirements. Tickets are $10 each.
A popular spot is sure to be the vendor's hall. Guests will have the opportunity to buy books, comics, costumes, DVDs, and many other anime-related items.
Overland Park printing services companies often provide tickets and other printed products to organizers of such events.
The convention will be held at the Overland Park Convention Center from March 13 to 15. Tickets for all three days are $55 for those over 13 and $17 for children; military personal will get a $20 discount. For the most up-to-date information, visit the event website.
