Crown Point’s inaugural Wine Fest will feature more than 200 varietals. Presented by the City, the festival will showcase the many wines of Northwest Indiana, Southwest Michigan, and Greater Chicago.
In addition to wineries, select area cider, beer, and spirit makers will be on hand with product tastings.
Wine and beverage enthusiasts can sample vintages and other drinks while enjoying small bites and special desserts from area restaurants, including Mr. Cheezycakes, Provecho, Bedarra Bar, and Tavern on Main.
An Elton John tribute band, Elton Jeff & The Honky Cats, as well as singer and guitarist Frank Ruvoli, will provide the live entertainment.
The event is open to those 21 and over, and designated drivers can enter the festival site at no charge. Admission tickets are offered at $59 while VIP tickets cost $99 and provide for earlier access to the festival grounds, as well as tastings of premium wines and a food ticket. Both ticket packages include a swag bag of giveaways. Sponsors of this type of festival often give away Promotional Products as part of goodie Bags.
The Crown Point Wine Fest will be held September 14 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Bulldog Park, 183 S. West Street. Gates open at 3:00 pm for VIP ticketholders. Parking will be available at the adjacent Wheeler Middle School, with a trolley shuttle bus offering rides to the festival site.
