Crown Point participates in paint collection day
Making sure that their unused latex paint has been properly disposed of is about to get a lot easier for Crown Point residents, thanks to an upcoming event.
The team at Lake County Solid Waste Management District recently announced that it is pleased to offer its Latex Paint Collection activity. It is for residents of Lake County only, and it has been requested that no containers over five gallons in size be brought.
When they arrive members of the public can simply drive up to the collection point and there will be personnel on site to lend a hand. The paints, stains and primers must be in their original containers, and spray and oil based paints will not be accepted. The event will run for four hours, and it's for households only, not businesses. It will be set up in the parking lot of the Lake County Solid Waste Management District, located at 8695 Broadway Avenue in Merrillville. Anyone who has questions or concerns can reach their offices at 219-853-2420.
