Silica is used in many areas, such as building and construction, and an upcoming workshop will provide employers with knowledge they can use with respect to new Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules, and is designed to help minimize the risk to their staff when working with this material.
The event will be facilitated by the Horton Group’s Gary Gladder, who will be outlining and explaining upcoming changes to the regulations regarding working with silicates. He will also provide ideas about how those who take part can comply with the updated rules. A Print company can be called upon to produce handouts and other instructional materials for a training session such as this.
OSHA has recently set new maximum levels for exposure to silica, as well as developing a set of requirements that can be used to help reduce people’s exposure to this chemical in their day to day work. According to the event’s organizers, this is very important for people’s health. It was further noted that, since the new regulations will come into effect in July 2017, companies need to prepare now to comply with the new regulations, and this workshop will help them to do so.
The seminar will take place on December 8th at the Horton Group, which is located at 10320 Orland Parkway. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served.
