Some legendary musicians will be joining forces to bring their show across the country, with a show in early July sure to entertain Orland Park residents.
Santana is fronted by Carlos Santana, who has been with the group since day one. The unique sound has led to a long lasting and fruitful career. One of the earliest achievements was a performance at the historic Woodstock Festival.
The lineup has changed over the years. The current one, aside from Carlos, consists of his wife Cindy Blackman Santana, Benny Rietveld, Andy Vargas, Karl Perazzo, David K. Matthews, Ray Greene, Paoli Mejias, and Tommy Anthony. A few of the tracks by the group are “Black Magic Woman,” “Samba Pa Ti,” “Well Alright,” and “In Search Of Mona Lisa.”
Earth, Wind, & Fire are a group that currently consists of Verdine White, Philip Bailey, Philip Bailey Jr., Ralph Johnson, B. David Whitworth, Myron McKinley, Morris O’Connor, John Paris, and Serg Dimitrijevic. Verdine is the only remaining original member from the group’s formation in 1970. Their song “September” is a cultural mainstay, with others including “Boogie Wonderland,” “Shining Star,” and “Fantasy.”
The show offers several ticket bundles, priced between $424 and $3,300. Full details can be found through the venue’s ticket site. Regular tickets run from $38 to $2,970. Merchandise featuring a graphic design related to the tour is often for sale or gifted in VIP packages at similar events.
The venue is the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre, located in Tinley Park. The concert will kick off at 7:00 pm on Saturday, July 2.
