Domestic violence affects families across the country, and at Hair Cutters Orland Park locations, the public is invited to get their hair cut to make a difference.
The company will be hosting Share a Haircut activities all across the US. Each time someone gets a haircut at any one of its 900 salons, it will donate a certificate that entitles the holder to a free haircut to National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV). The group will then distribute these to those who are recovering from domestic abuse. A local printing company can be called upon to Print these types of certificates, as well as any other printed products needed to make sure that an event like this is a success.
It is expected that thousands of these vouchers, which will be given out to women, children and men, will be earned during this event. Last month, the recipient of the Share a Haircut certificates was an organization that helps the homeless, and more than 76,000 were distributed. Whether long or short, curly or straight, all are welcome to come out and get their hair cut for a cause.
The next event will be held tomorrow and Tuesday, May 1 and 2, at the company’s various locations in Orland Park. Additional details, as well as further information about the recipients of the vouchers, can be found on the area’s Patch listing.
