Orland Park residents have been asked to strike back at cancer by taking part in an event in support of a local family coping with this disease.
Andy’s Warriors, which is a group dedicated to lending a helping hand to Andrew Mikal, who was diagnosed in January of 2017 with stage four colorectal cancer, has organized a day of fun and fundraising that will be held at Orland Bowl. Both bowling and food only tickets will be available, and the shoe rental, for those who need it, will be $3.00 each.
In an effort to raise as much as possible during the event, a raffle and an even split draw are also on the agenda for the afternoon. Both individuals and teams will be welcome, and the proceeds from the day will be used to help meet the medical expenses the family has incurred since the receiving the diagnosis in January 2017. Donations will also be most appreciated. A local printer can supply Banners and other items that can help to maximize the impact of an effort such as this.
This fundraising event has been planned for the evening of September 23rd, and will be held at 8601 West 159th Street in Orland Park. More information, as well as a link to purchase tickets for the afternoon of bowling, can be found on the Andy’s Warriors website.
