Orland Park will be home to a camp all about girls’ hockey in early July.
Kendall Coyne will be the instructor, she is a hockey star who has been part of Team USA and will be there to teach both age groups. The age groups are 6 to 10, and 11 to 16. Both sets of campers will have lessons on the same dates, but their time on the ice will not overlap.
There will be a check-in at 7:30 am for the younger group and 10:30 am for the older girls. It is likely the sign-in area will be marked with Signs featuring the camp Logo Design on them. The younger girls will be on the ice first, and will be having their snack/lecture time, as well as their workout, while the older girls hop on the rink. Both groups are asked to bring their own snacks, although the concession stands will be open.
Parents are asked to register their child based on the age they will be during the camp, and not the age they currently are. For families with multiple girls, there will be a sibling discount credited to their card, but they need to register each one separately. The sibling discount is $25 per child, while the base cost is $200 to $300.
Anyone with questions can contact Kendall or visit her website for more information. The camp is at Arctic Ice Arena and takes place from July 9 to 11.
