Fun is in the air with high-flying festival

The Kite Fly Festival is taking place shortly at the Monee Reservoir. It is hosted by the Forests Preserve District of Will County and the Illinois Kite Enthusiasts Club.

Everyone who attends the festival is welcome to bring and fly their own kites during the day. There will also be lots of activities taking place, such as a candy drop and a live falcon demonstration. Other activities will include a giant kite flying demonstration, a Team 180 Go! synchronized kites performance, a scavenger hunt, prize raffles, and the Kite and Air exhibition. The kids' area will feature hula hoop contests, Airzookas, bubbles, and other activities for young minds.

A number of vendors, selling the latest styles in kites and accessories, will be on hand. Meanwhile, local organizations will be providing information about their programs and events.

This event will be a good chance for families from all around the area, such as those from Orland Park, to discover a fun pastime. To help spread the word, organizers may invest Flyers from local printing companies that can be quickly and inexpensively distributed in the community.

The Kite Fly Festival will be held at the Monee Reservoir on May 2 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Admission is free of charge. To find out more about the festival, call 815-727-8700.
