Festival gives local restaurants a showcase

The 11th annual Taste of Orland Park festival is taking place over three days, beginning at the end of this week. It is a presentation of the Village of Orland Park.

The festival gives local restaurants a chance to show off to the community and to encourage people to visit their establishments. Guests enjoy samples from all of the most popular food establishments in town.

In addition to food sampling, there will be live music on two stages, bingo games, country line dancing, and live band karaoke. A car show will be showcasing more than 200 vintage and modern cars, and ‘Orland Park's Got Talent’ may find the next superstar.

Sponsorships are available, and sponsors will receive a booth at which they can show off their latest products and services. Several community groups are also expected to host information booths, such as the Orland Park Chamber of Commerce.

As well as being intended as a fun festival for everyone involved, it is hoped to bring more business to local restaurants and other companies Those who are planning to host booths at the festival may decide to contact their local banner printing company for help.

The event is being held at the Orland Park Village Center from August 1 to 3. To find out more about planned activities, contact Orland Park Village Recreation at 708-403-7275.
