Expo to get golfers pining for spring

The 4th annual Tinley Park Golf Expo is taking place this February for three days.

There are expected to be a large number of vendors who will be selling such items as new and used golf clubs, clothing, and shoes. Visitors will also have a chance to try out some newly designed clubs. There will be long drive and putting contests for prizes, the $1 fee for which will go to The First Tee of Greater Chicago.

There are also set to be golf clinics, one-on-one instruction from golf pros from Billy Casper Golf and Swan Lake Resort, lessons for people with disabilities from the Freedom Golf Association, and a kids’ clinic hosted by The First Tee of Greater Chicago.

Those who are interested in exhibiting and selling at the expo can rent space from $1,000 to $2,700.

Many of the vendors may decide to invest in banner printing services to attract visitors, who will be coming from all over the area, including nearby Orland Park, to their booths.

The yearly expo is to take place at the Tinley Park Convention Center from February 6 to 8. Tickets are $5 on the Friday and $10 on the Saturday and Sunday, although children under 12 and active military are admitted free of charge. Call 708-990-3779 to find out more.
