The sisters said:
“It’s the end of an era. All good things must come to an end. We’re 29 years older, it’s time to move on. It’s all good and happy.”
Parisian-themed Mona Lisa first opened its doors to customers in 1991 in a shop in Palos Heights. When the shop opened, the sisters concentrated on selling jewelry, accessories, and clothing. The shop then expanded its stock list to include furniture, home decorations, baby clothes, and Christmas decorations. The boutique enjoyed a lot of success thanks to the sisters’ passion for dealing with attractive items that sold at affordable prices. They moved to their shop in Orland Park in 2018.
People who loved the store can get their hands on some of the remaining stock at 20-75% off up until the store shuts its doors for the last time at the end of March. Until then, the store will not be taking Checks or credit cards, so buyers will have to use cash. Discount sales are sometimes advertised using banner printing hung in the window.
The store’s physical location may be closing down, but the sisters behind it are planning to work on other projects, such as their online version of the store called Mona Lisa & Company.
