What's Happening in Orland Park, IL…

Orland Park residents are going to have an opportunity to partake in an exciting seasonal experience in early October.

The Great Pumpkin Party is a gathering put together by TR Miller. The activities currently slated to appear at the event are aimed to create a family friendly atmosphere. These include hay rides, pony rides, barrel train rides, toasting marshmallows, games, dancing, inflatable play structures, a DJ, a candy jar guess, a pumpkin weight prediction, a Great Pumpkin Smash, and activities run by the sponsors.

Children from age one to age nine may also enter the event’s costume contest during one of two sessions. Kids are encouraged to be creative and unique with their looks. Prizes will be given to the top picks in both the Best Overall and Most Creative categories. The competitors are asked to gather by the venue’s candy guessing tent at either 10:30am or 1:30pm, depending on which session they wish to participate in.

Tickets are available for purchase now. The cost of a standard ticket is $7, while children younger than a year old will have a lower fee of $3. Everyone attending must purchase a pass. Flyer printing is a common and accessible form of advertising for community run experiences like this. The event will take place at Centennial Park between 10:00am and 3:00pm on October 7th.
