Living with Autism Conference, hosted by The Arc of Illinois, is set to take place in Tinley Park this September. The Arc of Illinois is an organization that provides programs for those with autism and their families, and also advocates on behalf of the autistic.
The conference is open to professionals, parents, and people living with the condition. It will feature networking opportunities, seminars, and a luncheon. Speakers at the conferences will include Dr. Paula Kluth, Dr. Stephen Shore, and Barbara T. Doyle. Topics of the seminars will be "Obstacles into Opportunities", "Educating Students with Autism in Inclusive Schools and Community Settings" and "Positive Behavioral Change".
There will be a break in the afternoon for lunch and a networking session. It will give non-professionals a chance to meet with some of those who work in the field and ask them questions. Guests will likely come from all over the state to attend this conference, including nearby Orland Park. Many who plan to attend will likely place a business card printing order in advance so they can keep in touch with those they meet, since Business Cards provide an easy way to pass on contact details.
The Living with Autism Conference is scheduled to take place at the Tinley Park Convention Center on September 23 from 8:30am - 4:00pm. Tickets are $95 for an Arc member, $130 for a non-member, $140 for a professional member, and $180 for a non-member. For more information, call 815-464-1832.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
