Garden walk brings nature to Libertyville residents

A garden walk event is coming to Libertyville next month, offering area residents an opportunity to stroll through five local gardens for a memorable day outdoors.

The 2024 Hidden Gems Garden Walk will provide guests with a relaxing stroll through Libertyville’s sprawling gardens. This is the 12th annual iteration of the community event, which will be brought to life by the region’s neighborhood gardeners. Guests will enjoy the spaces hidden behind each garden’s front gate.

Interested parties are encouraged to gather friends and family to attend and add to the walk’s atmosphere. The event is a self-guided tour, and guests will drive through Libertyville to reach all five participating gardens. Attendees will meet each gardener who has worked to make the five suburban oases. Brochure printing is an effective way to share gardening tips and insights with attendees at such events.

Artists and vendors will also attend the event, allowing guests to pick out pieces for home decor. The proceeds from the garden walk will fund the Libertyville Food Pantry and community plantings to add to the town’s image.

The event will start at 10:00am on Saturday, June 29 at 740 Oak Spring Lane before proceeding to the five participating gardens. Registered guests should check the weather and dress accordingly for the outdoor event. Tickets cost $20 per person and can be reserved online.
