Chunky knit blanket workshop teaches Libertyville creatives

A blanket-making workshop has been announced in Libertyville for this March, and area creatives who are determined to learn a new skill are welcome to sign up.

The Parched Pug Chunky Knit Blanket Workshop has opened registration to interested parties who wish to learn a new skill and enjoy time with like-minded individuals within the Libertyville community. The workshop aims to provide an afternoon of fun, where participants will learn the proper techniques and steps for making blankets while enjoying snacks and drinks.

The course is ideal for beginners and experienced knitters, and the workshop will focus on making blankets by hand. Each person who participates will leave the session with a blanket to take home, along with a new skill they can continue honing. Learning experiences can be enhanced with printed instructions procured from printing services, which also allows students in such workshops to continue practicing at home.

Students can choose to make lap blankets or full-body blankets. The looseness or tightness of the knit will affect the final size. Seats in the workshop are limited, and those in Libertyville who are interested will want to make reservations.

The class will be held at The Parched Pug on South Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville. It is slated for Saturday, March 28 from noon until 4:00 PM. Registration is open online for $65 per person.
