Those with an artistic eye can often find ways to turn trash into treasures, and an Evanston workshop will help a new crop of makers to find out how lucrative this can be.
Rebuilding Exchange has invited a local artist Jared Haberman to share his talents with the ticket holders in its Salvaged Window Art activity. He will walk the attendees through the process of transforming discarded window frames into artistic works, and everyone will get a chance to try their hand at his techniques.
Each of the participants will be invited to create a design using the stencils provided, and Jared will teach them how to use the Tape up method to create a unique look. Spray paint will be utilized, and when they leave for home, each of the attendees will take their project with them to display.
A class, workshop, or other learning event often sees an assortment of printed materials handed out to registrants. These can be readily prepared by area Stationery printers.
This opportunity to give some discarded window frames a new lease on life will be offered on January 27 at 1245 Hartrey Avenue. It will begin at 10:30am, and runs for three hours.
No experience is needed, and the activity is for those age 18 and up. The fee for materials is included in the ticket price, which is between $75 - $90.Get a Free Quote for Stationery Get a Free Quote for Tape
