A summer day can be perfect for dropping by a vehicle show and shine, and a series of these events will soon be on offer in Evanston.
The 2026 instalment of the Cars and Coffee fundraiser will be a series of free events planned for the whole community. Three have been scheduled, and they will each be taking place in the community's downtown.
The public can drop by and view the cars, trucks and other vehicles, and their owners will be on hand as well. Everyone can vote for their favorite entry, and the winner will receive an Evanston e-gift card. The monies raised will be passed along to Partners of the Evanston Public Library, and outside Coffee will have coffee, donuts and other refreshments available for purchase. Anyone who would like to enter their “pride and joy” in the competition must do so in advance, and there is enough room to accommodate up to 75 entries.
Car shows are often held during the summer months, and they tend to be quite popular. Dash plaques and other custom printed items for an occasion can be crafted by a local printing services company that is able to provide options for in-house graphic design work.
