Three different hosts will be teaming up to present an activity in Evanston that will give Mother Nature some TLC, and the public has been offered the chance to get involved.
The city’s Earth Day Clean-Up event is being hosted by Brightview Landscaping, Downtown Evanston and The Women’s Club of Evanston, and as many hands make light work, they are all hoping for a great turnout. They’ve challenged individuals, families, friends and co-workers alike to participate, and all help will be appreciated.
Those who would like to get involved are asked to assemble at the north side of Fountain Square, and here, they will be given gloves, Bags and other “tools of the trade” along with maps showing the areas covered. They will then head out to pick up the litter and other debris, and at the end of the project, they will return to the Square along with their filled trash bag(s). These will be collected for disposal.
To thank everyone for rolling up their sleeves, the participants will have their name entered in a prize draw. Print shops can supply organizers of events with everything from printed maps and registration Forms to Corporate Gifts to offer as raffle prizes.
Downtown Evanston will be getting a good spring clean thanks to this project scheduled for April 26th. It will run from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
