The Winter Creative Drama Workshop is being presented by Purple Crayon Players and will focus on the concept of ‘Finding Your Name’.
This workshop is recommended for children between grades four and six, and will feature information and insight as to how people define themselves. Brochure printers have probably been used to advertise and promote this workshop to parents and students in this community, as well as surrounding regions.
The Winter Creative Drama workshop is based on the popular play ‘Mother Hicks’ by Susan Zeder. In this workshop, students will study what it is they believe the words and names used to describe them really mean and whether they actually suit them or not. Exploration on what makes a person who they are will be explored through the choice of various drama exercises, as well as some games led by the students of Northwestern, which might even reel a name or two hidden deep inside.
This winter drama course will provide students with an insight into who they are and who they would like to be, and through this if is hoped that they will find confidence and develop a stronger belief in themselves.
The cost for enrollment in this course is $20 per student, although scholarships are available. The Winter Creative Drama Workshops will be held next on Saturday, February 16 and Saturday, February 23 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Parkes Hall located in the Northwestern University Campus at 1870 Sheridan Road in Evanston, Illinois.
