The holiday season can also be a sustainable one, and a project class planned for Evanston will help point the way.
A hands-on crafting session has been organized by the team at Rebuilding Exchange Evanston, and it will transform discarded and scrap material into festive holiday decor. The participants will be working with items from the host’s warehouse as well as any elements from home they wish to use, and tools will be provided.
The planners of the occasion have made both individual and couples’ tickets available, and children may participate so long as they are at least 12 years old and are accompanied by an adult. As the activity will be held in a warehouse, everyone is reminded to wear closed-toed shoes and dress suitable for the activity. Admission starts at $75 each, and anyone who purchases a ticket but cannot attend the function will be able to transfer it to someone else by contacting nancy@evanstonrebuildingwarehouse.org.
At a busy time of year like the holiday season, letting the public know a particular activity is taking place may be key to its success. A flyer printing company will be happy to help.
Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse, which can be found at 1245 Hartrey Avenue, will be offering this workshop on Saturday, December 3. Everyone who registers is asked to arrive by no later than 10:30 am.
