Evanston environmental activity planned for November

Helping the environment often starts with grass roots level community projects, and one of these activities is on the way for Evanston.

The city’s Chamber of Commerce has “adopted” Harbet-Payne Park and it recently announced that the final clean up activity of the year has been scheduled. The group has put out a call to volunteers who would like to get involved, and they will fan out to give the site’s 13.2 acres some care.

The group will be issued clean-up tools such as gloves, trash Bags, hand sanitizer, and a first aid kit, but the helpers are asked to bring along their own gardening gloves if they have a pair. They are also reminded to dress for the weather; layers may be a good choice for the occasion. They will need to supply their own water and bottles. The activity will run for two hours, and all ages can lend a hand.

According to the online listing, each participant will be asked to sign a participation waiver ahead of the activity. Stationery printers can supply a wide selection of custom designed business documents for days like this.

This opportunity to make the most of an autumn morning will be held on Saturday, November 19. The activity will run from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, and all help will be appreciated.
