Edwardsville now a little sweeter
Downtown Edwardsville just got a burst of energy, thanks to the sugar found in a new shop that opened on Main Street recently, according to an article in The Intelligencer.
Sherry's Snacks arrived in Edwardsville with a sizable variety of chocolates, gummy bears, and all kinds of candies, along with sodas, ice cream floats, and much more. This is the second Sherry's to open in Illinois, with the original location being in Alton.
Ralphaniqe Moore is the manager of the Sherry's Snacks in Edwardsville, and is enthusiastic about the venture. She says the experience thus far has been “great,” adding everyone has been friendly and welcoming. She noted that people who went to the Alton store suggested Sherry's should “come over this way,” and they finally decided to make the jump. New businesses like this are often promoted through the use of promotional products.
The Edwardsville store features dark walls with bins of candy set into them, and a black-and-white checkerboard floor that gives it an old-fashioned feeling. Candies sold include chocolates like dark sea salt caramels, milk chocolate turtles, and white chocolate pretzels; gummy bears in flavors from banana to wild cherry; unwrapped bulk candies such as orange slices and cherry vines; and wrapped candies like Tootsie Pops and Jolly Ranchers.
