Nature reserve ushers in autumn in Edwardsville

An evening of walking trails and glowing pumpkins is around the corner in Edwardsville, granting area residents a memorable adventure in a family-friendly setting.

The Pumpking Glow 2025 at Watershed is preparing for a fun autumn evening for families in the area to explore local trails that are illuminated by glowing pumpkins. Fellow community members will carve the pumpkins, and attendees can expect many photo opportunities and other fall-themed activities throughout the night.

The event organizers are looking for more people to assist with carving pumpkins, with solo carvers, local businesses, and families welcome to participate. Businesses that join in will get an accompanying sign that promotes their brand. Printing companies can help with designing and producing such signs to help the local business economy thrive.

Carvers will pick up their pumpkins on October 4 and 5, and will need to return the finished carvings the following weekend. Interested parties who register after September 19 are still welcome to participate, but will need to provide their own pumpkins. The walk will follow the trail system of the Watershed Nature Center, providing a leisurely stroll and a new autumn tradition.

The walk will be held on Saturday, October 11, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Participants will meet at 1591 Tower Avenue in Edwardsville. Tickets are free and available online.
