Yoga offers Edwardsville holiday respite

A yoga session is coming to Edwardsville and will provide area residents and interested parties a space to decompress and find inner peace during the holidays.

The Winter Solstice Yoga in the Dome has opened registration to yogis and Edwardsville residents who are seeking a relaxing way to take a break from the holiday rush and indulge in self-care. The yoga session will be led by Jill, an experienced yoga instructor, and will harness the power of the solstice through a gentle yoga flow. Attendees can expect to enjoy deep relaxation in both the mind and body.

Jill will also help each guest take time to slow down and reflect on the previous year. The lesson of the yoga experience is that growth is not possible without taking the time to rest. Poster printing is a fabulous way to promote community events like this and reach a broad audience.

The session will be open to both Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville students and the general public. It is being organized by the Center for Spirituality and Sustainability. Attendees will want to wear comfortable clothing that allows for an ample range of motion.

The Fuller Dome on the SIUE campus will host the solstice yoga session, starting at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 21st. Tickets are available online for $18 for students and $23 for general admission.
