Runners who wish to celebrate the anniversary of one of the most iconic highways in the world will want to lace their shoes and start training for a 10K in Edwardsville.
The 2026 Route 66 10K has announced the start time and date for this year’s run, which is a special year in the event’s history. The run will celebrate both the 20th anniversary of the 10K run, along with the 100th anniversary of the opening of Route 66, which connected Chicago to Los Angeles.
The run will be a special celebration of the highway known as the Mother Road, and all interested parties are invited to join. Runners, joggers, and walkers of all experience and fitness levels can participate. Banner printing offers a special way to welcome participants to the finish line at running events like this, while also providing promotional opportunities for sponsors and the event’s brand.
The community event doubles as a fundraiser, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting local nonprofit organizations promoting physical fitness and activity in St. Louis’s Metro East area. Finishers will receive swag items commemorating their participation in the 10K run.
Runners will meet at 112 South Kansas Street in Edwardsville on Saturday, June 13th. Check-in ends at 7:45 AM, and the race starts at 8:00 AM. Registration is open online for $40 per person.
