Edwardsville residents looking to explore local history and enjoy suspense will want to make a note in their diaries, as a guided ghost hunt is in the works in town.
The Guided Paranormal Ghost Hunt, which is being set up by the Midwest Paranormal Investigators Consortium, is preparing to welcome interested parties and area residents who want to explore the paranormal side of town. The guided ghost hunt will explore the Colonel Benjamin Stephenson House, which was built in 1820.
According to local historians and past residents, the home has a history of spectral guests and hauntings. Common sightings allegedly include the figure of a woman in white roaming the home’s grounds, doors that open on their own, and unexplained footsteps throughout the home. Brochure printing is an effective way to promote such tours and experiences while providing more information to interested parties.
Participants will have the opportunity to access and explore both floors of the historic home during the guided hunt. The hunt will also explore the detached kitchen, servants’ cabin, and upper quarters. Group sizes are limited to 10 people per guided hunt. All participants must be 13 years of age or older.
The Ghost Hunt will take place at the Colonel Benjamin Stephenson House, located on South Buchanan Street in Edwardsville. It will start at 6:00 PM on Saturday, November 8. Tickets are $40 per person online.
