Chamber members to discuss book on boosting productivity
Chamber members who are interested in professional advancement and enrichment are invited to attend the latest meeting of the Business Book Club.
This club, run by the Edwardsville/Glen Chamber of Commerce, allows business leaders to review business books and discuss insights from the readings together.
This meeting will specifically go over “Free to Focus” by Michael Hyatt. According to the book’s listing on Amazon, Free to Focus helps readers develop a “Total Productivity System” that allows them to do more in less time.
While much of the event conversation will take place in person, a large portion of the follow-up materials – as well as follow-up questions – will be given out on the group’s private Facebook page. Interested individuals should contact Chamber officials for more information on how to join that page.
These meetings are typically with the same book club members, giving Chamber members the opportunity to better get to know local businesses. Chamber officials advise that attendees should bring plenty of business cards and be prepared to not only expand their minds, but their business networks too.
The event is going to be held on September 14, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, at the Chamber office, which is located at 1 North Research Drive in Edwardsville. No cost is listed, but pre-registration is required and can be done through the Chamber’s website.
