Winter celebration set for Champaign

The Champaign Park District organizes activities throughout the year, and one that will be on offer during much of November, December, and early January will add some extra sparkle to the holiday season.

Winter Nights at Prairie Farm will be open to the public for four hours each evening during its scheduled run. The displays set up will be located all over the property. While it is free to enter, donations to help support the event will be greatly appreciated.

The visitors will be able to view the colorful lights and get into the holiday spirit, and on Fridays and Saturdays, hot chocolate will be on offer. While service animals are welcome, other pets must be left at home.

To help kick off this year's installment of the celebration, an opening night event has been planned. Santa will be on hand to meet the kids, and carol singers will add to the festive atmosphere. Complementary hot chocolate will be poured.

Mailers prepared by a flyer printing company can be sent out to households ahead of the holiday season to let them know about a special gathering taking place in their home area.

This year’s Winter Nights at Prairie Farm will kick off on November 29 and wrap up on January 5, 2025. Its web listing provides the most up-to-date information. The venue is located at 2202 W Kirby Avenue.
