Champaign market planned with kids in mind
This winter holiday season, Champaign kids will be able to discover the joy of giving when they shop at a pop-up market organized with children in mind.
The Orpheum will be the location for the Crisis Nursery’s Children's Holiday Shop. Parents or guardians can choose from three different dates, and all young attendees will be able to shop for gifts with a set budget.
The activity will be well stocked with budget-friendly gift ideas, with volunteers lending a hand to the young shoppers, helping them choose meaningful items for everyone on their list. There will be a wrapping station set on site, and they can take their wrapped gifts home with them. The function is being hosted as a fundraiser for the Crisis Nursery, and local companies that would like to get involved are encouraged to apply to serve as a sponsor.
Many not-for-profit groups count on the generous support of volunteers to help deliver their programming. Stationery printers can prepare certificates to give to each helper that thank them for their help.
