Champaign shops at August plant sale

Savvy Champaign gardeners know that fall can be a great time of the year to grow cool weather crops and flowers, and a local horticultural sale will help them fill their plots with healthy plants.

Sola Gratia Farm has a two day pop-up plant sale planned for mid-August. It will run for two days, and all shoppers will be welcome.

Gardeners from Champaign-Urbana and the surrounding areas will be able to purchase spinach, lettuces, herbs and flower starts will also be on offer. Known as “cole crops”, kale, collard greens and different cultivars of Brassica will also be in the mix along with beans and peas, all of which tend to do well in the cool days of fall ,will also be available. A complete list of what types of starts will be available will be released closer to its scheduled date.

Plants sales and other horticultural events may call for specialized printing services, and a local Print expert will be happy to lend a hand. They can prepare an assortment of themed Promotional Products, including dibblers, seeders, paper seed saving Envelopes, garden stakes and other useful items.
